Privacy Policy

1. Data We Do NOT Collect

Startup Domain Search does not operate any backend server or database. We do not collect, store, process, or transmit:

• Your startup ideas or descriptions
• Domain names you search for or check
• Your favorites, saved sets, or history
• Your AI API keys
• Your name, email, IP address, or any identifying information

2. Local Storage

All your data — search history, favorites, saved sets, settings, and API keys — is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. You can clear it at any time via the "Clear All" button in the app or your browser's developer tools.

3. Third-Party API Calls

When you use the tool, your browser makes direct requests to these third-party services:

• rdap.org — Domain availability checks. Your browser sends the domain names you're checking directly to rdap.org. See rdap.org for their privacy practices.
• Groq / OpenAI / Anthropic — AI name generation and scoring. Your startup idea description is sent directly from your browser to whichever AI provider you use. The bundled default key uses Groq. See their respective privacy policies for how they handle prompts.

We have no visibility into or control over these requests — they go directly from your browser to those services.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage statistics — page views, feature usage events (e.g. "search started", "domain available", "favorite saved"). This data is aggregated and does not contain your search queries or domain names. You can opt out via browser extensions such as uBlock Origin or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

5. Open Source

This tool is fully open source. You can inspect every line of code at github.com/vasilytrofimchuk/domainsearcher-app and verify these claims yourself.

6. Changes

If we ever change our privacy practices, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Given the static nature of this tool, significant changes are unlikely.
